What’s Happening in Atlanta This Weekend November 3-4, 2018

    Chomp & Stomp 2018  Cabbagetown

    November 3, 2018 If you start your day off with the Romp & Stomp 5K through Cabbagetown, you will get a long-sleeved t-shirt and a spoon (your ticket for the chili cookoff).  Then you can enjoy the Annual Chili Cook-Off and Bluegrass Festival benefitting the Cabbagetown community.  Restaurants and neighbors will be competing for the titles of Best Chili in their division.

    Atlanta Oddities & Curiosities Expo South Atlanta

    November 3, 2018 Are you a lover of the strange and unusual?  If so, you will relish the first visit of this traveling oddities event. There will be vendors of items such as taxidermy, vintage curiosities, and creepy artwork, just to name a few. In addition, there will be local sideshow acts performing throughout the day.

     

     

     

    Arboretum Walking Tour  West End

    November 3, 2018 Walk the Atlanta Beltline with a trained docent from Trees Atlanta. Get active and learn about the horticultural collections of the Arboretum while walking the 1-mile tour along the Beltline. After the tour, have a meal at one of the many restaurants in the area like Lean Draft House or Greens and Gravy.

     

    Decatur Wine Festival

    November 3, 2018 Spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon in downtown Decatur at the largest outdoor wine festival in Atlanta. There will be over 500 wines for your tasting pleasure. Don’t worry, the Festival won’t make you drink on an empty stomach. They will have local restaurants on hand to serve crowd favorites.

     

     

     

     

    Chastain Park Arts Festival

    November 3-4, 2018 Fall Festival season in Atlanta isn’t over yet.  The Chastain Park Arts Festival takes over the park for the weekend.  Enjoy fine art and crafts, a children’s area, and local food and beverage concessions including food trucks. Don’t miss the artists’ demonstrations scheduled throughout the weekend. There will also be local acoustic musicians on the scene to fill your ears with joy as you wander the grounds.
